How to Add YouTube Favorite RSS Feed to WordPress Blog

  1. I'm trying to add the RSS Feed to my Youtube Favorite Videos to a widget in my sidebar. Ive seen it done on wp.org but have been looking for on wp.com. Any tips?

The blog I need help with is ggvogue.com.

  2. I'm trying to have the videos themselves visible and not text. It seems the RSS Feed isn't for this though.

  3. The RSS Widget displays posts from any RSS feed. You might find this handy if you want to show off one of your other blogs, or one of your favorite blogs, in your sidebar. Will you please provide the RSS feed URL you are working with? http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/rss-widget/

  4. That's right, it's not. You can manually add the code for any particular embeddable YouTube to a text widget in the sidebar, but we have no YouTube widget per se.

  5. P.S. Some feedreaders do display videos and some don't.

  6. This was the RSS fee that I found that feeds favorite videos from youtube but just the test and not the actual video.

  7. sorry text*

  8. I have that URL in an RSS Widget on my test blog and it's working fine.
    I checkmarked all of these:
    _ Display item content?
    _Display item author if available?
    _Display item date?
When I click the titles in the sidebar the videos display - no problem.

  9. Hmm... So the RSS Feed won't display the videos as actual videos you can see on the website. That's a shame. I was hoping it could be viewed straight from my website.

    Thanks for the help.
