How to avoid diplaying entire post; using 'Read More...' instead

  1. Hi. I'm starting a new blog at hearingtheoracle.wordpress.com, still designing. Using Academica theme. My main blog page will normally have fairly long posts... therefore I would like to have a way to cut their display with a 'Read More...' option, like I have seen on other blogs, for example: http://moonshineartproject.wordpress.com/ I do not see how or where to control this when I make a post. Please help. Thanks. Sorry but I do not know what this 'feature' is officially named. ~Rob

The blog I need help with is hearingtheoracle.wordpress.com.

You can truncate your blog entries so that only the first part of certain posts is displayed on the home and archive pages. When you do this, a link will be placed directly after your excerpt, pointing the reader to the full post.
