How to create a clickable landing page without the sidebar

  1. Hello everyone!

I have read how to make a static landing page. But I was wondering if I can make it clickable. Will this tutorial apply to wordpress as well (http://www.howcast.com/videos/453003-Create-Clickable-Links-On-Your-Fan-Page)?

Also, how can I remove the sidebar on this landing page, and keep it on other pages?

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is heyartist.wordpress.com.

  2. With Chateau, you can choose whether to use the default template or a full width template for each page. The full width template does not show a sidebar.

  3. As for the video being of use here on WordPress, yes.
You can upload your image to your WrodPress.com account and use that.
The image mapping will work as described.

But it might be simpler to just upload separate individual images for whatever you want to link to.

It would be easier to change what you link to: say you want to add a new link to your static page: with individual images linking to places, all you'd have to do is to add the image where ever you want on the page.

To make an individual image link to something, when you insert or edit the image, insert the URL of your link into the line that says "Link URL"
Under advanced settings you can even choose to open the page in a new window.

  4. Thank you so much! I will try that out! :D
