  1. Just not sure. ..have tried the menu thing under appearances on the dashboard and it's not working. Wouid like to add that list in my sidebar, but not sure how to go about it. Thanks! (title appears in the sidebar, clicking takes them to the website)

The blog I need help with is tessf.com.

  2. Hello there,
    Create a Bogroll > http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/add-a-blogroll-link/
Display the links in a Links widget in your sidebar > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/

  3. Just not sure. ..have tried the menu thing under appearances on the dashboard and it's not working.

A custom menu allows you to:
    Change the order of pages
Nest pages to create sub-menus (drop-downs to subpages)
Display posts on multiple pages by creating category pages
Add posts, tag pages, and custom links to your navigation menu where tabs to Pages are normally displayed.

  4. ok...I'm very new at this and also can't get "apply all" (related suggested tags) to work although that feature worked a few days ago. What happened?

  5. @sbevans
This thread is about creating a Blogroll and displaying the links dentered in the dashboard to create the Blogroll in a Links Widget placed in the sidebar of a blog. As you have a completely different issue please start your own thread by clicking this link > http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/support#postform

  6. Thanks for the info, Timethief! Once again to the rescue. :)

  7. You're welcome.

  8. OK. I am still strugglilng with this. I want to find the menu where I can add the links, but I can't access it. (the one you see in your link). All I can find is this:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/

  9. I want to find the menu where I can add the links

If you are adding custom links to a custom menu then here are the instructions > Adding Custom Links

But if you want to have links display in the Links widget in your sidebar then you must enter them in your dashboard following these instructions > Create a Bogroll > http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/add-a-blogroll-link/
Display the links in a Links widget in your sidebar > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/

  10. OK. I think I have it now. I was missing the part where I needed to go to the dashboard after adding the initial widget. (My LD has to do with following a series of steps in abstract land, so I appreciate your patience. Thanks!)

  11. That's good news. Lots of new bloggers get confused about widgets. All they do is display data that we enter into various sections of our dashboard. :)
