how to delete a file that was uploaded to wordpress blog?

  1. I uploaded a file to my blog and then later removed it. But the file is somewhere on wordpress's server and showing up as number one in a google search of my name, which offers the link:
    emilymeehan.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/meehan-cv2010-for-web2.pdf+&hl=en&gl=us&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEEShg1MhfGdPd4cNWcMoNItMfCJgzppf_eMtgfxJXRFIuAJ1_zaRfyFcQFuc_-hv3nvZrBkE0vjJO8AKrXEnBodNAyhLa8DznPMlBGTN2va2tpeE--vrTM0rPTiyk44Jf6gicS0B3&sig=AHIEtbT089I85Gt7akeFpQ7JT_03TvxC0g

I need this to be deleted from wordpress so people can't find it on Google.

    Please advise, thanks!

The blog I need help with is emilymeehan.com.

  2. Delete it from your media library files.

  3. When you delete a post, page, comment, or media file from your blog, it will be moved to the Trash folder. You have separate trash folders for posts, pages, comments, and uploads. Make sure you have deleted it permanently from your Trash folder http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#deleting-permanently

  4. Go to Media Library. Find it, tick it and get it deleted. It's PDF file showing a resume, I think.

  5. Thanks timethief and tangbinhduong, you guys totally helped me! It was hiding in my media library.

Amazing that people like you just help by giving information for free!
