How to Delete Search Bar & Footer from Twenty Eleven

  1. How do I delete the Search bar and "Twenty Eleven" Footer from the Twenty Eleven template?
    Thank you!!

The blog I need help with is slocumprinting.wordpress.com.

  2. Well let's start with this:

May I remove the ‘Blog at WordPress.com’ credit in my site’s footer?
Although the Custom Design Upgrade certainly grants you the capability to hide the credit from your site’s footer, you are not permitted to do so. Even our VIP bloggers are required to maintain the credit. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

A quick search turned up the required CSS editing to remove the searchbox from the header area. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/removing-the-search-form-from-the-twenty-eleven-header?replies=9#post-696602

  3. Thanks Timethief!! Always so awesome!

I did do a search for "search bar", but maybe searching for "bar" messed it up, or maybe I'm going cross eyed from staring at the computer too long. Lol! Thank you.

As for the FAQ on the credits, thats good to know.

Anyway, huge thanks! You are a tour de force around these parts. :)

  4. Glad to help and you're welcome.

  5. I checked http://slocumprinting.wordpress.com/ and I found that you were able to hide the search bar with some custom CSS. Nice work!

If you're willing, it would be awesome if you posted back with the answer to how you fixed your issue so others can see it in the forums when they search later.
