how to disable menu button once on the page

  1. Hi, can anyone help with this?

When I am on a page, ie, "home" page, I want to add a script to disable the button for the 'home" page to be clicked again... There is no need, you are on the page!!
Surely there's a way of doing this??

When using other site template it automatically did this. You can see this in a site I recently did for a friend. http://www.lpkitchens.co.uk

The page you are on stays highlighted in the menu and clicking that button is disabled because you are on the page.

Could someone also tell me how to highlight the menu button as if it was in a rollover position as well?... the same as that example site.

    Thanks

    Les

The blog I need help with is les1466.wordpress.com.

  2. Please post the URL for the exact free hosted WordPress.COM blog you are referring to here starting with http://

  3. Hi, thanks for your reply.

The site I am working on is a test site for my friend. I have worked out most of what I wanted to do but cannot work out how to stop the button functioning when on the page it is on...

    http://www.2funked.com

If you look at the buttons on http://www.lpkitchens.co.uk
the "about us" button will NOT work if you are on the "about us" page.

Ive only just started using WordPress, and although I really like the features you can add I really think things are done in a very illogical way.
I really need to get used to it I guess. :)

I would be very grateful if you could help me with the button issue?? :)

While I'm on about the buttons, does anyone know of a script that I could make menu buttons like these:

They are awesome and I havent seen any other WordPress site with anything like them on.

    Thanks for your help.

  4. The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.

This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/

The forum at WordPress.ORG is not connected to WordPress.COM so you will need to open an account at .ORG if you do not already have one. You may use the same email at WordPress.ORG as you do at WordPress.COM.

For more on the difference: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you are asking for help with a WordPress.COM site then we need a link to that site to give you accurate help.

  5. Ah right, thanks
