As I've said in topic title my question is: How to display one single random post on home page?
I mean I don't want to use the loop. I want to be able to display on my blog's index.php a random post and not the current post. Is it possible?
WordPress.com is an easy way to start blogging. Get a blog, check out our features, read the latest announcements, choose from great themes, or learn about the team behind it.

Nope, not on WordPress.com. The only way to display a random post is to set as the front page the randomizer. You'd set that on your Dashboard, where you set a static front page to display.
You cannot get to your blog's php files on WordPress.com
Ok. Thanks raincoaster for your quick answer. But if I host my blog on my domain (using WordPress as a cms blogging software)?
Is there a plugin or something to help me?
Maybe, but as per the thread marked Read Me First, you need to be asking over at WordPress.org. They're two different kinds of software.
Yes you're right. Thank you for your time. Best wishes!
