hi, trying to have multiple lines for my site title & tagline, try doing it by hitting the space bar & enter key, but just don't work.

That will not work because there is no allowance for Titles and Taglines which are meant to be brief to continue onto a second line. Moreover that would suck from an SEO point of view. Please allow me to go a little deeper.
1. The site title tag is the most important tag in your site.
2. Taglines are meant to brief branding messages.
3. The combined number of characters used are critical when it comes to what is displayed in the SERPs (search engine page results).
Note that many bloggers seem to be blissfully unaware that the combined number of characters they use in a site title and tagline do have an impact on SEO. I see bloggers posting huge blocks of text in taglines and in author profiles below their posts on themes that provides author profiles.
