1. Sorry, you're wrong. Perhaps she didn't explain exactly how your money was spent, or you don't remember. I'm not imagining things or making conjectures: before pointing out what I did, I inspected the code of the Wayback version of your page. Here's an example:
Notice the blue truncated "?custo…": it stands for custom CSS. This indication shows only when you have the Custom Design upgrade and have made CSS changes. On this screenshot you can see the original CSS for the sidebar headings, and the custom CSS that had been added to turn them to uppercase, change their color etc.

2. I can't walk you through any better than I already did. I didn't say "then code" and I didn't say anything about popups: you edit the page, switch the editor to Text, locate the two instances of the img tag in the content of the page, modify them manually as I showed above, click Update.
