How to get comments to show on homepage?

  1. Hello! I would like to show comments below each post on the home page. Currently, guests need to go to the actual post page to leave a comment, but if you're just reading the blog on the home page, it's not there.

Is there a way to do this?

On the settings page, I've checked all the boxes to allow for comments/discussion. I'm using the Forever theme. my blog is http://www.madisonkatephotography.com.

    Thanks!!

The blog I need help with is madisonkatephotography.com.

  2. On WordPress.com the comments never show on the home page, and that cannot be changed. Once you start getting 20 comments on a post you'll see why. I have several posts with over 100 comments, and one with over 2000 comments. Nobody would scroll through all that to get to the next post.

  3. Fair enough.

Instead, is there a way to get a link at the bottom which would link to the post page? Just a generic "Leave a comment" link which would be the same destiniation as the comment icon which is inline with the post title?

  4. Most themes have that built in. Take a look at a few of the themes you fancy and see which of them comes closest to the way you want the comments handled.

  5. @madisonkate08,

We have a theme called P2 that shows comments directly below each post on home page so that a post can become like a thread. Check it out!
