How to have two excerpts ?

  1. Can I have two excerpts for one post? So that I can call them at two different pages?

The blog I need help with is bellclara1985.wordpress.com.

  2. I don't think so!

  3. could you clarify what you mean by "call them at two different pages"?

  4. I read it as having two category pages and show a different excerpt for each page.

  5. Sorry for insufficient details.
    I have
    home page: example.com
    blog page: example.com/blog
    post page: example.com/blog/post-1

Now, I am showing summary of post 1 on two pages i.e example.com and example.com/blog, currently these two summaries are same. But I want to publish unique summaries on these pages. So how can I have two excerpts for one post.

    Thanks

  6. To clarify further, are you referring to http://bellclara1985.wordpress.com/?

  7. No, I am not referring http://bellclara1985.wordpress.com/. It has been added there, and don't know how to remove.

I my case. whole website is not on wordpress, but only blog does.

Where I want to show manual excerpt on example.com and automated excerpt on example.com/blog

  8. Please give us the URL of the actual blog, because depending on the version of the software the answer varies.

  9. Raincoaster, I am sorry but I am not authorized share URL. The version using is WordPress 3.4.2.

    Thank you

  10. Since you are using 3.4.2 - you need to go over to WordPress.ORG to get help - they are the keepers of the software you are using and you are not hosted here

  11. The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.

This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/

For more on the difference: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you are asking for help with a WordPress.COM site then we need a link to that site to give you accurate help.

  12. Ok Auxclass, Thank you for information.

  13. You be welcome & good luck
