How to hide a page?

  1. Hello,

My website is http://www.geekchic.me - I have a problem with hiding a page.

I want to hide the 'shop' page which is at the end of the navigation bar as it was just an image for a project I had to do but I have no idea how!

I've looked all over the forums but it keeps saying 'change this under attributes' but I don't have all these things under attributes, I just have 'order' with a zero underneath.

I tried to move it to trash but it's still there!

    Any help will be great.

    Thanks :)
    xx

  2. You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you'll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don't understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It'll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

  3. On this forum we provide support ONLY for those who have free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. Please post to the correct forum for your software as we cannot help you here. The support bot is pointing to it > http://wordpress.ORG/support/

  4. No it is a free hosted wordpress.com blog, i'm just logged into my wordpress.org account - the support bot is just being daft!

  5. No, http://www.geekchic.me/ is a self-hosted wordpress installation. Click on "wordpress" at bottom left of your site and it takes you to wordpress.ORG.

  6. There is no "shop" page on the free hosted WordPress.com site linked to your username. Moreover, no blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. E-commerce transactions via shopping carts and the like cannot be conducted on free blogs from and being free hosted by WordPress.COM

If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, there are no restrictions on e-commerce if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a free hosted WordPress.com blog. See here to learn the differences:http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  7. Oh thanks thesacredpath for telling me that - my teacher set-up the websites for us and told us all that it was a wordpress.COM site so I just believed him lol.

i'll go post over there now

    Thank you :) x

  8. Also there is this from your page source.

    <meta name="generator" content="WordPress 3.2, fitted with the WordPress Mobile Pack 1.2.4" />

It doesn't say that on a wordpress.com blog.

  9. You are welcome.

  10. @TSP
I guess I'll have to note that or bookmark it -- right? lol :D
    Time for lunch.
