how to hide comment box and shares on Twenty Eleven pages

  1. Greetings.

I'd like to hide the comment box and share icons on my pages but not on my posts. Can this be done?

    Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is donadair.wordpress.com.

  2. This page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page.
Depending on the theme we use when we close comments a phrase like "comments closed" or a similar phrase may appear and if so, it can only be removed by CSS editing after purchasing a custom design upgrade.

As for disabling sharing icons on Pages please see here > you can do that on the Pages themselves in the Sharing Module under the editor scroll down and look for:
_ Show sharing buttons on this post.

  3. Thanks, Timethief. Took me a while, but I finally got the concept. ;)

  4. Hi again,
I'm glad I was able to help. Best wishes for happy blogging. :)

  5. Hi,

As you are talking about the Twenty Eleven Theme, I would ask you something concerning the Facebook Box integration. I integrated it (like + wall + Avatars) into this theme, but I can't get it in it's total width.I tried to remove the width of the box, but it looks like the boarder of the theme is restricting it. Can you tell me how could I solve this kind of problem?

    Thank you
    Vincent
