How to hide speaking bubble icon and "posted in" at bottom of post

  1. I'm using Inuit types and I'd like to hide the icon that is between the title and post. It looks like a speaking bubble icon. I'd also like to hide the "posted in: uncategorized" at the bottom of the post. I have the customization upgrade, but have little experience with CSS.

    This is the page to which I am referring: http://mattdelmont.com/2012/01/18/67/

    Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

    The blog I need help with is mattdelmont.com.

  2. This will hide the "posted in" parts in the Inuit Types theme:

    .categories {
    display: none;
    }

    I don't see the comment bubble between the title and post at http://mattdelmont.com/2012/01/18/67/

  3. designsimply, thanks so much for the fast reply This took care of the "posted in" issue.

    And the comment bubble only seems to be visible when I'm logged in. I tried it on a different computer and it isn't there. So I'm all set for now.

    Thanks again!

  4. Can this apply for all themes

  5. @bayelkopa
    No this does not and cannot apply to all themes. All CSS editing at WordPress.com is theme specific. If you have purschased the annually renewable custom design upgrade for a free hosted WordPress.com blog and are ready to begin CSS editing another theme then please start your own thread by using this link > http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform

  6. Technically, it applies to any HTML in a theme that uses "categories" as a class, which is probably true in a lot of cases of WordPress themes. To make sure you're using the right selector, you should check the HTML of the thing you want to hide and look to see if it has a class attribute.
