I' am trying to install a custom theme from shaken and stirred but it won't work. Any insights?

The blog I need help with is kayleygallaher.wordpress.com.

  2. Yes. Id you are referring to a free hosted WordPress.com blog then note that there is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or any themes into them The themes found on the internet are for wordpress.ORG installs which run on different software.

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/

On free hosted wordpress.COM blogs we can only use the themes which have been coded to run on this multi-user software and made available to us here. > Appearance > Themes and no others. We cannot edit either themes or templates on free hosted wordpress.COM blogs. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/

If you wish to have complete control over a blog, the ability to upload themes and plugins, and to edit themes and templates then your option is to hire a web host and get a free software install from WordPress.ORG and self host it.

If you are referring to a self hosted WordPress.ORG install then you are posting to the wrong support forum for your software and you must post here instead http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as we cannot help you at all here at WordPress.COM

  3. We cannot add themes at wordpress.COM. We are limited to the 100+ (and growing) themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. Themes found on the internet are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG and would not work here at wordpress.COM.

If you have CSS editing experience, you can get the Custom Design upgrade, which will allow you to stylize the themes here, but it does not allow you to change the functionality. CSS is also themes specific so you cannot use the CSS from one theme with another theme. Before buying the upgrade, you can go to appearance > Custom Design and to the CSS tab and wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try out changes before you buy the upgrade.

  5. Is this the blog in question? http://kayleygallaher.wordpress.com/
If so then I see you have selected the Fruit Shake theme and it's displaying correctly on that blog.
