How to issue post requests from sidebar?

  1. Is it possible to issue post requests from sidebar?

I want to open page wich requires some parameters to be sent by POST request. But I found that neither FORM tag, not JAVASCRIPT or ONCLICK syntax is not allowed in text widget in sidebar.

Is there any way to accomplish this?

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is soundworksbygehl.wordpress.com.

  2. You are correct when it comes to restricted codes. This is a multiuser blogging platform and for security reasons we cannot use the codes you mention. The software strips them out. I don't know what you mean by this: "Is it possible to issue post requests from sidebar?" Please expand on exactly what you are trying to achieve.

  3. I want to open a page which requires to be opened with HTTP method=POST.

I need to either embed javascript somewhere, or to embed FORM code somewhere, or to use premade widged which requests URLs by POST method.

This is absolutely secure action causing no risk to anybody.

  4. That's not possible on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. It is possible on a self hosted WordPress.org install.

  5. Can I upgrade my hosting somehow to be able to do this?

  6. You would have to self-host a wordpress installation on a third-party hosting service such as bluehost, dreamhost, etc.

Since this is a multi-user platform, we all share the same underlying theme and core wordpress files and that means there are restrictions on what we can do here. With a self-hosted installation, your only limits are your abilities.
