How to links your posts to different pages. Is it possible?

Hi, I created my blog 10 days ago so i'm still quite new to it. I wanted to separate my posts into different categories by linking them to different pages.

So for example, I have just uploaded a live performance from Rihanna performing Diamonds, and would like to link it to the 'Live Performances' page for those who wish to view all my videos on live performances. I am not asking for it to disappear from the Home page because I know that all new posts will automatically appear on this static page.

Is there options in the dashboard to link your posts to different pages?

I have creating a custom menu which worked BUT my theme only supports one custom menu. If the answer to my question is No, would anyone happy to know any free themes on here which gives you the option to create more than one custom menu.

    Thanks for your help

The blog I need help with is globalpremiere.wordpress.com.

  2. Pages and posts are different. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ Pages are static and are for content that rarely changes. They sit outside of the blog structure and they do not automatically update. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

You cannot post to multiple pages in any blog. There is only one main page for posts in a blog and all posts will display on the main blog page. There is no way to exclude posts from the main posts (blog) page.

Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page. We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages created by the software when you publish posts into the custom menu.

Hey thanks for your answer. I have tried to create a custom menu, and as I mentioned it did work but I could only create one menu with my theme. I want to create around 5 custom menus. Are there any themes that you know of that support this?

  4. We Volunteers have discovered that there are many bloggers who do not understand that a single menu does not mean a single menu item. The number of items in a custom menu is not limited. Moreover, you can have as many custom menus as you wish using custom menu widgets. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/custom-menu-widget/

I strongly urge you to read all of this article > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/
