Blogger generated ads are not at this time allowed on wordpress.com blogs This link will explain about adsense and other ads: http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/
Use a text widget with html coding. And make sure you've chosen a theme with a sidebar. But you should be aware that commercial blogs are not permitted at WP.com. A 'discreet link' to a business is permitted.
Advertising is not allowed on free hosted wordpress.com blogs. http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/
If that's a deal breaker for you then you can hire a web host very inexpensively and download free software from http://wordpress.org
What is the url of your wp.com blog? The link from your username goes to a different domain.
oh gee. I just now read this. Really didn't realize that I had my username linked to my website!
I am MountainHigh so I believe that my url would be http://mountainhigh.wordpress.com
isn't it?
i guess I need to fix that.....somewhere
thank you, thank you, thank you. for the heads up.
back to my question. You mean that if I have my own website, I can't advertise it on MY BLOG on wp? I can in in text links, on a post or page or...whatever!
pardone moi ignoranimity, been doin my own websites over 2 years
but THIS is a first for me...and definitely different
oh and thanks to everyone.
sacredpath, don't you have to do ppp for adsense? or advert other sites on your own site? I won't do either.
@mountainhigh
Volunteers answering forum questions do not interpret policy and its application, staff do. And at this link http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/ we find the following phrases:
If you’re not sure, contact support.
and
If you are in any doubt, ask.
On the admin side of your blog in the top right hand corner you will find a "support" button and during support hours you can use it to send in your details to staff and to ask for assistance.
