How to put my pages titles under my header in Autofocus

  1. Hello,

    I'm using Autofocus for my blog. I want the titles of my pages to sit under my header like in the Contempt style.

    How do I do that with CSS?

    Thanks Jeremy

    The blog I need help with is jeremyshub.com.au.

  2. Are you talking about the menu?

  3. You can't do that with CSS because you don't have the Custom Design upgrade (so you should be posting in the Support forum or the Questions forum).

    The chief attraction of AutoFocus is its unique way of displaying posts on the main page - see the theme demo:
    http://autofocusdemo.wordpress.com/
    If you aren't going to publish posts you have no use for AutoFocus. Just switch to any theme that has a top nav menu. List here:
    http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/header-page-tabs/

  4. Give this a try and see if it works for you.

    #access, div.menu {
    width: 100%;
    position: absolute;
    top: 0;
    left: 0;
    }

    #access li, div.menu li {
    display: inline-block;
    }

    #header-wrapper {
    position: relative;
    }

    #header {
    padding-top: 48px;
    padding-bottom: 24px;
    }

    #access li, div.menu li {
    padding-right: 20px;
    width: auto;
    }
  5. Hello,

    Thanks Sacredpath - I'm really enjoying the support of people with CSS. I'm just learning. There is so much to learn.

    If I change to another theme can I get back to Autofocus (I paid for that)?

    I want my nabber to look sexy like Contempt. How do I do that?

    Thanks again.

    Jeremy

  6. Yes, you can change back and forth as much as you want, anytime you want.

  7. Thanks Thesacredpath.

    I really appreciate your support.

    Jeremy

  8. (For the record, Jeremy hadn't bought the upgrade when I posted my reply.)

  9. I didn't see a custom design CSS file in their list of CSS either, but I just took a chance and added it in the off chance they did.

  10. Anyone at WordPress.com can try out CSS customizations using the preview button on the Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page, so it shouldn't really matter whether someone has the upgrade or not if they want to try something out or get advice about CSS.
