I downloaded the twenty twelve theme and I want to put the recent posts widget at the bottom of the home page (like it is set up in the demo). How do I do this?

The Twenty Twelve demo at http://twentytwelvedemo.wordpress.com/ uses a static front page, a page template, and widgets. Here's how to set it up on your own blog:
1. Setup a static front page:
