How to remove all widgets

  1. Hi,

I am new to wordpress, this is my first blog and first "thing" ever on the internet. I would like to remove the "categories" and "archives" widgets from the left sidebar and the search bar, "links" and "meta" widgets on the right sidebar. In my "Widgets" page, all the widget areas (sidebar, foot, etc) are empty, but the widgets I mentioned above are still visible. Putting them in the "Inactive widget" section doesn't work either... Is there any way to have 2 white and empty sidebars? Thank you for your help!

The blog I need help with is portfoliomarinedefroberville.wordpress.com.

  2. Put a widget into the sidebar, any widget, and then take it out. That will wipe all widgets from your sidebar.

  3. Hi, thanks, I've tried that but the default ones came back as soon as I removed the chosen one. Anyway, I found another way: adding a blank "text" widget in both sidebars. I now have 2 beautiful white sidebars!

Now, do you know by any chance if there is a way to make a full width post on oxygen (i know a full width page is possible but I can't seem to do the same with posts)?

  4. I have no idea how to use Oxygen, but I suggest you look for the Oxygen tag in the theme forum.
