How to Remove Tags from Front Page?

  1. Hi all

After I started using the tags function, the tags actually show on my front page, under each post. Is there a way to remove it from the front page, since it tends to clutter the page? I still want the function to be there so that it is easy for searches.

Is there a way to do this? Please advise. Thanks!!

  2. I'm sorry but the display you see is exactly the way the theme is coded to perform. Perhaps you could "mask" the tag display using css editing.

I think you can hide them with CSS, but it can cause other problems. The tag display is in .post_meta which also contains the links to your front-page comments, post time-stamp, author info, etc. So if you turn that off with {display:none}, it'll turn all of it off, and that might not be what you want. Someone else might know if there's a way to separate the tags out of that, but I don't think there is.

Not all themes display tags like that, though, so you could always change themes if it's just too cluttered for you.

  5. boo, i think it looks a little cluttered also
