I already delete both the blogroll and meta widget in any of the sidebars or footer areas but I still can see the two widgets on my blog. Is there anyway to do it??? thanks

When we activate a theme there is a default sidebar display that appears to contain actual widgets. When we go here > Appearance > Widgets and select the widgets we want to use, open the widgets, click "save" and close" inside them, then our widget choices override the default display. Thanks. But instead of using other widgets than the two widget I mentioned, can I delete the right hand side column completely?
You place an empty text widget in the sidebar, click to open, add nothing, click "save" and click "close". Doing that will eliminate all widgets in the sidebar.
Thanks.
That works but it still occupies the spaces on the right hand side and the articles in the middle can't take up the spaces on the right hand side... Is that the only way to do it?
