How to remove the "this gallary has x photos" ??

Hi. I've added small pix (one) to my posts. But when the article shows up on my site, it contains a linkable line, "This gallery has 1 photo". But there is NO gallery, I've simply added one small drawing, pix, or graphic to the left of each article. It's annoying because when I (or anyone else) clicks on it, it just brings up the article again.

Any idea how to get rid of this annoying line that I DO NOT WANT!!
