  2. If you wish to run an e-commerce site you should be looking at a paid webhost and running your own WordPress.org install. WordPress.com is not set up to handle e-commerce.

Read here to understand better the difference between the different kinds of WordPress:

  3. The site you liked to would be suspended for Terms of Service violations if they were on WordPress.COM.

  4. Can I use send free messages like feature on WP? My friend has created a software and I was willing to launch it on WP.

But if I go to wordpress.org do I have to change completely my page, I meant, it will become a new page, or I can just change the domain from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

Thank you for your reply Justjennifer

This is for the future you know, I have a plan to build a normal blog page, but I want to start this in the correct way, in some months, I am wondering to add an store in this page like the link I have sent to you.

I appreciate you taking your time to answer me

  7. WordPress.ORG does not do hosting. WordPress.ORG just distributes and supports the self-hosted software. You have to register a domain name (if you do not already have one) hire a web host (dreamhost, bluehost, etc.) and then install and configure the software from wordpress.ORG. You then export your content from your wordpress.COM site and import it into your self-hosted installation.

Figure an average monthly cost, all things considered, of about $10 to $25 and you will be responsible for all installations, all upgrades, all backups and all troubleshooting. If something goes wrong, you have to figure it out and fix it. WordPress has made self-hosting a site far easier than it used to be, but it does come with additional responsibilities and with additional risks. At wordpress.COM, the likelihood of your site getting "hacked" is nearly zero (your password strength is your weakest link). With a self-hosted installation, there is a higher risk of getting hacked (I make a good bit of money fixing hacked self-hosted wordpress.ORG sites).

I don't know what you mean by "send free messages like feature". I do know that there is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins into them Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

As justjennifer stated above free hosted WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for eCommerce but self-hosted WordPress.org installs can be.

If what you mean is can we have shoutboxes or chatboxes on free hosted WordPress.com blogs the answer is yes. We can use the Meebo widget found here > Appearance > Widgets. We can also use Google Talk chatback badges and we can use Talkinator – Chat widget for WordPress.com That being said, I don't understand how what you posted answers the question posted in the OP by larissacasagrande.
