how to set blog to default
-
i want to reset my blog to its default settings.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
What exactly do you mean by that please? There is no such button that one can click. You simply remove whatever you have done at:
Appearance > Header
Appearance > Background
etc. to restore a theme to the way it was prior to making any changes. -
Maybe I should give a little background. I was on youtube looking up a tutorial to the theme “oxygen”. I found it and how I wanted my blog to look. However, I wasnt able to follow the video step by step because of all the careless changes that I had previously made. I guess what I’m trying to do is restore it to its natural state before I made any changes. online they have a video showing a “plugin” to restore blog back to default, (removing all post, pages, etc that was every made). however I dont have that plugin option. hopefully this explanation made more sense.

Those tutorials do NOT apply to WordPress.COM versions of that theme. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. read the differences here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Go to https://wordpress.com/themes/oxygen and http://oxygendemo.wordpress.com/ and do use the tutorials you find online.

Plugin installation possible only if you hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up a WordPress.ORG install. http://wordpress.org
There is no FTP access to WordPress.COM blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins or third party themes.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/There is no other upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database.
