I want to set up a site for an organization that is completely unrelated to my personal blog and want that site to have its own domain, e.g. AnotherCharity.org, and for it to be able to collect donations via PayPal and to send and receive email, e.g. [email redacted].
Does the $18 cost for a domain name cover everything or are there other charges? I don't really understand the directions regarding using gmail in conjunction to handle the site's email.

That covers the domain name registration and domain mapping Only - no other charges - cost is per year
Google Aps and gmail is your only free option I am aware of to get email for a mapped domain name - I don't use it but several others do and seem to get along OK - probably one of those follow the instructions to the letter and if you have problems ask here in the forum
