How to share blog posts with other web sites

  1. I am trying to figure out how to add a share button at the bottom of my blog posts so I can share each post with other web sites, such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Technorati, etc.

    I greatly appreciate anyone's help.

    Thanks
    Tim Kellis

The blog I need help with is timkellis.wordpress.com.

  2. I use an addthis button: http://www.addthis.com/

  3. Many people here use and like Get Social:

  4. It seems like "get social" doesn't work with Macs?

  5. I have now added the "Addthis" button to my blog -- but because my blog is at wordpress.com, not a self-hosted service, I can't use the full service java-script button that would let people share a specific, individual blog post. The AddThis button (if hosted on wordpress.com) only lets people share the URL for the blog site as a whole. Does anyone know of a way I can add some equivalent of the "share this blog post" button for each blog post, but in a blog site hosted at wordpress.com? Or am I doomed until and unless I someday figure out a way to host my own blog! (Not likely to happen in the near future, though things like this make me tempted to consider trying to learn how, or whether it's possible/feasible for me, *sigh*)

Since I have a Mac, I'm not even looking at "get social."

    Thanks, all.

  6. andreashettle - This should work for you, adding to each post. I used it for quite some time and it worked beautifully:

  7. If you find out these answers I am, for another, interested in what you find out. I have this
wonderful website, at least I think it is, and I have been trying to figure out ways to get people
to blog and see what we can come up with. It is http://www.shuggiescorneronline.info. This is an
informational site about pets........anyway I will keep checking this site. Looks pretty good to me
it is just that I am new.

  8. And it's not a WordPress.com blog, so you're in the wrong forum; you need to be at WordPress.ORG.
