How to show "About" and "About Author" on homepage?

  1. Hello!
I have written and saved my "About" page and also the "About Me" page, but I cannot access them through my blog-- only through my dash board. When I go to settings and appearance, there are options of putting widgets on the right side of the page, but no option for the two "About" pages? I feel like these are important to those who want to understand the blog and I'd really like to make them visible. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is sanscilice.wordpress.com.

  2. When viewing your blog, I am able to see that you have an About mgummere and a regular About page. I am able to open your About page and view it because you have posted to it. Are you able to open About Mgummere and post what you want the public to know about yourself?

  3. whoops meant to say can you access your About pages from your dashboard under pages?

  4. When I go to settings and appearance, there are options of putting widgets on the right side of the page, but no option for the two "About" pages?

As your theme does no have horizontal Page tabs, you need to place the Pages widget in the sidebar. It will then display the links to your pages.

@bats0711: "mgummere" is the Authors widget.

@timethief: the Pages widget is activated (titled "About"!)

@mgummere: You've got no "About Me" page - at least not a published one with that title. You've got us a little confused here. When you click Pages > Edit in your dashboard's sidebar, can you really see two pages? If so, maybe the one of them is still a draft?
