How to transfer followers from wordpress to godaddy?

  1. How to transfer followers from my blackbearsti.wordpress.com account to godaddy's wordpress at http://www.blackbearsti.com using Jetpack? Thanks.

The blog I need help with is blackbearsti.wordpress.com.

  2. Provided you have installed and activated the JetPack plugin http://jetpack.me on your WordPress.org install, and you post the relevant URL(s) into a forum thread, Staff will do the transfer of both subscribers and stats for you. I have tagged this thread for their attention.

  3. Hi there,

I see that Karim was able to help you with this here:

I looked and you had one new follower, so I transferred that one as well.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

  4. Thank you. Is there any way to stop other bloggers from following on blackbearsti.wordpress.com and only to blackbearsti.com? It would be tedious to monitor both accounts.

    Harry

  5. 3. Optionally, on your WordPress.com site from which you’ll want to transfer your followers, post a notice telling your site’s followers that you’ll be moving, and that their subscriptions will be going along with you. This is because, while your email subscribers will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site, which they can do if you’ve added the Subscriptions widget. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/

  6. Exactly what @timethief said. :) Thank you!

I would definitely write up a post indicating that you moved to your new site. That usually solves it!

  7. I hate to be a pain but another follower joined me despite me adding a post to let them know of the new site. Thank you.

  8. The follower has been transferred.
