Please tell me how to unfollow a post. I made the mistake of following a beautiful post but it is so popular and I continue to have my E-mail inbox inundated.

Please don't bump your own thread(s) it's against the forum policy. To un-follow a post (I am guessing you followed the comments of a post?) within the email you will see at the bottom of the email a link that says subscription options screen shot http://wpmod.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/2012-09-06_2029.png after you click the link find the post and hover the mouse over it and an un-follow link will appear.
So sorry. I only come here when I need help and often look for my answer in other questions. If I did not bump I would not be able to find it. I will not again. I thank you sincerely for your help.

Also at the top of the forum page it says welcome and your username click on your user name and it will direct you to a page that has all threads you have made and replied in. Here is the link to page I am speaking of http://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/bluebutterfliesandme
