HTML and Using Forms

  1. Ok I give up..... normally when you want to enter a sign up form to create an email list its really easy. You use the Text widget and put in the HTML code.

For some reason I cannot get this to work any way I try it. I use the HTML form provided by Aweber and when I paste it into the widget all that comes out is the HTML code and not the form.

Then I follow their video on putting the form in a Post and same thing - Am I missing something here with my blog, I paid for the $99 dollar upgrade but cannot get a single HTML form to work anywhere on my site.

I am new to wordpress.com but wordpress.org when you do the above the form shows up perfectly on your blog.

It has to be me as I see other wordpress.com blogs with the same form I am trying to use can someone please advise?

    James

The blog I need help with is topvideomarketingcourse.wordpress.com.

  2. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot install any plugins. They are only for WordPress.org installs.
    For clarity read > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Note: Unless Aweber has a plain HTML option for their code (no form code, iframe or javascript) then you are not going to be able to use that code here at wordpress.com. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

  3. Ahhh...thanks for the information I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out why it was not working.

    Thanks for the help,

    James -
