HTML code to rotate images

  1. Hey does anyone know any HTML code to rotate images? I just want to put some photos of some of my tee shirt design up on my blog and I would like to be able to rotate them.

  2. Please provide a link to your blog and to consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forum.

In the meantime - you may want to search Google for this as it really is not a wordpress.COM question.

  3. OK Thanks. I am sorry about not linking the blog, just started.

  4. It is not possible to rotate images using only HTML.

For this scripting is required. You can do this using Javascript or Ajax.

    In javascript:

    1. Asign an unique id to image tag.
    2. Create an array which contain URL's for images.
    3. Get some knowlege on timer in javascript.
    4. Create a function which rotate images src property after a specific interval using timer object.
    5. Call this funciton on document.ready() in your header.
    6. If you have knowlege of random number in javascript, change the images randomly.

Ajax is much longer proccess...will explain if required.

Let me know if you have any problem in this.

  6. WRONG answer. We cannot use javascript or Ajax here.

  7. It's not difficult to rotate an image using MS Paint. Just save the rotated version and upload it to your post. If you want to show several rotated versions, go through that several times and upload each new version. Each image will be a "still," and the images won't rotate.

  8. Thanks everyone. It seems the best way to add rotating images is to save me elsewhere in the format desired an upload. You guys are great!
