HTML News Fader

  1. I want to have one of those things a lot of sites have that flash images/text either automatically or when a user clicks something like this site: http://gamersleak.com/

I know a few themes have this sort of feature too but I didn't like them very much.

If this something that is possible in just html or is this going to require java/flash etc... which isn't allowed?

The blog I need help with is shane3x.com.

  2. I don't know any way of doing that without Javascript, but if you can find a way to do it in Flash, you can use the Gigya Shortcode to put it in your blog. See http://wpbtips.wordpress.com for how to do that.

  3. Here's another example. I'll see if I can find anything that will help me build something like that.

  4. Forgot the link: http://au.gamespot.com/

I did find this also: http://www.aleosoft.com/flashslideshowmaker/index.html

I'll see if I can get it working. Hopefully it lets me link to the images.

  5. Alright so I got it working using this host: http://www.imagedoll.com/index.php

If anyone can suggest a site/software similar to this:

    http://www.aleosoft.com/flashslideshowmaker/index.html

That is free I would really appreciate it.

  6. You would still need somewhere that would host the flash file for you. One workaround would be to use an animated GIF file instead. There are lots of free tools to help you do this. It doesn't provide the same level of user interaction but it is much more simple and free!

  7. Animated Gifs are horrible for this. 256 colours alone is really depressing. I have found a host as mentioned in a previous link (http://www.imagedoll.com/index.php),
