Hyperlinks in comments don't show

  1. I'm relatively new to WordPress (using it since January). I noticed that if I put a hyperlink into a comment, it does not appear when I load the page. For example if I post a comment like this:

    Please see link1 and link2.

    The comment appears as

    Please see and .

If I go back to edit the comment, the html code is still there, but it refuses to display it. I've even tried selecting articles from my site using the built in tool and therefore the html code is built automatically and still I get the same results.

What am I doing wrong? Is there some steps you could recommend to troubleshoot this?

    Thanks in advance,
    M

  2. Hello there,
Will you please post an active link starting with http:// to wherever we can see an example of what you are describing?

  3. Timethief, thanks for the quick reply. I have created a test comment at http://farseer.org/2011/06/08/dont-buy-real-estate-market-poised-to-get-worse/#comment-27

The comment should read "See prior article REAL ESTATE WILL DRAG ECONOMY IN 2011

  4. I reopened the comment for editing and it contains

See prior article <a href="http://farseer.org/2011/02/01/real-estate-will-drag-economy-in-2011/" title="REAL ESTATE WILL DRAG ECONOMY IN 2011" rel="nofollow"></a>

  5. Disregard that prior post, the html code didn't post :(

  6. Go to the footer of your blog and click the link "Proudly powered by WordPress"
