Need help? Check out our Support site, then

I am attempting to add a link to our newsletter sign-up through Constant Contact

  1. Adding constant contact link to widget sidebar - I am attempting to add the HTML coding in the text widget to display the button, but it will not display correctly. It will show part of the button on our page, but it will not allow where you enter an email or anything else. We are using the .com version of WordPress so can not use the application.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is alpinepub.wordpress.com.

  2. The code is probably being stripped out for security reasons:

Have you looked at this Contact Form?

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

  3. No you cannot use Constant contact on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. No there is no upgrade you can purchase that will change that. You can create a static Page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ and boldly state it's for those who wish to have their email addresses captured and then below it you can post a contact forum shortcode. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ However, if you are into big scale email marketing then you need hire a web host an set up a WordPress.org install.

  4. Thank you very much for your quick replies. I understand now why it will not work and will create a page, or something, so that we may encourage email sign-ups. We attempted the .org side of WordPress, but because of where our site is hosted, it is more of a pain then it is worth. But I do appreciate the suggestions!

Rhetorical question: why is something that is suppose to be simple and make life so much easier more like banging your head up against a wall?
