I am being stalked by "The Obsidian Files" on Lady Raine's Lair blog

  1. I have already banned "The Obsidian" of [Link Redacted T3ck,] from my own blog.

I frequently post on the blog: http://www.ladyraine.wordpress.com, but he keeps commenting to me and Lady Raine on her blog even though we've told him to go away.

On those times when we have responded to his repetitive questions, he takes our responses and cuts and pastes them out of context and then uses them as posts on his own blog, which are libelous as he misrepresents what we've said each time.

I want him banned from wordpress and his blog to be cancelled.

And btw, the 24/7 help section of wordpress is NOT helpful. There is no actual address given as to where someone can report something. This "forum" is not what I was looking for, but is the best thing I can find right now.

Please contact me directly and please improve your "help" section to show where someone can contact someone directly for help.

    Thank you
    Denise

The blog I need help with is eqwithdenise.wordpress.com.

  2. The forum questions have been answered by your fellow bloggers for the most part. We are volunteers, though staff does come by to answer questions.
    The help/support documents are here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/

And here is a link to contact staff:

I have flagged this thread as I'm thinking Staff may want to remove the links you posted because posting them into forum threads, in essence, means you are providing a link for other curious bloggers to click that will send hits to the blog in question.

You may also gain some insight if you read the information posted at these links http://en.wordpress.com/freedom-of-speech/ and http://en.wordpress.com/abuse/

    re: Defamation, abuse, threats
WordPress.com will suspend content that is clearly defamatory or threatening, but will not suspend content on grounds of being offensive.

  5. If you come in here with this attitude:

"And btw, the 24/7 help section of wordpress is NOT helpful. There is no actual address given as to where someone can report something. This "forum" is not what I was looking for, but is the best thing I can find right now. "

"...please improve your "help" section to show where someone can contact someone directly for help"

Don't expect a lot of love from other helpers then. This is a personal feud between you and the other person, so screaming that YOU want to get someone banned ain't gonna happen. You guys fight it out on your blogs, if you don't like what the other says, then don't respond to it. And if it reeeeeeally bothers the heck out if you, stop blogging, simple as that.

  6. @wvdoc Please keep in mind the forums was NOT set up for emotional support

I'm not a person who excels in the use of diplomatic language but today I'd like to reply to you in a respectful way in the hope that you will isten to what I have to say and give it your consideration.

Volunteers and Staff working together on a forum like this may be best served when we consider the impact the statements we volunteers make may have on Staff when they are called upon to solve problems posted by end users.

It's so easy to deviate away from providing information and possible solutions to problems and I say that as volunteer who recognizes she has done this on many occasions. I'm respectfully suggesting that you may want to reconsider posting your opinions into threads without offering any actual help.

I am suggesting this because your response provided no help whatsoever to the OP, and may be considered to be "harsh" and "unnecessary" by Staff. Like Staff anywhere else who are in wordpress.com support positions aim to provide end user satisfaction by providing solutions . And, while it's true that we volunteers do not provide emotional support and I have made that statement myself many times, I have reconsidered this weekend and won't be doing that anymore.

The way I see it a volunteer responding to or exacerbating any negativity expressed by the OP, can and has set up negative exchanges between volunteers and OP who is frustrated, emotional and seeking a solution. This in turn can lead to our Moderators and/or Staff having to wade into threads where unpleasant exchanges are taking place, when we volunteers could have avoided responding to the OP's emotional statements in the first place.

  8. If you have a complaint, please fully read the text available at http://en.wordpress.com/complaints/ and follow the instructions there to let us know.

  9. @markel
Thanks for confirming I posted the correct link(s) above. :)

  10. Well I'm also not up for emotional support and just said things straight up, yes it might sound somewhat harsh (but like I said, im not one for emotional support) but its how it is. That having said (and Im not one you-tell-me-this-and-this-and-that-and-I-obey) I do understand where you're coming from (and appreciate the time you took for your lenghty reply) and will try to formulate things in a better way, not to please you (no offense) or anyone (we all agreed this aint no emotional support forum) but for helping-people's sake.

    "happiness engineer" funny :)

  11. @starsquid
Thanks and I appreciate the fact that you heard me out and like you I make my own decisions.

  12. To the OP: you're not being stalked, you're being dogged by a troll, which is not illegal. And your copyrighted material is being ripped off, which is illegal. Put in a DMCA copyright notice and his blog will indeed get shut down until such time as he removes the stolen material. That's much simpler than trying to prove defamation to a blog service.
