lanorelydiaI have gone through the settings on my dashboard and made sure that under "reading" the dot is clicked to FULL POST and not summary however when I view the page there is only a summary and not the full post. Not sure what else to do????

The setting you're referring to only controls your blog's RSS feed.
Your theme is actually designed to only show summaries on the front page, and the only way around that would be to choose a different theme.
