I can't add Soundcloud player to my posts

I have followed the WP directions to a tee, the Soundcloud file is public, but on my post all I see is a white blank. The post is here: http://iseethics.org/2011/11/19/podcast-animal-intelligence/

    What’s going on?

The blog I need help with is iseethics.org.

  2. What is the exact code you used to put Soundcloud in? Paste it here, inside the Code tags.

    [soundcloud url="http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/28457984" params="show_comments=true&auto_play=true&color=934c0f" width="100%" height="81" ]

  4. Did you perchance change your Flash settings or update? I updated, and I can't see your player either.

You are right: must be a Flash Problem. As far as I am aware I have never done anything on my blog that involves Flash, i.e., I have not changed any settings because I didn't know that they exist. So, where do I go or what next? Thanks so much by the way.

  6. You can use this link to see if your Flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not up to date then this is where to download and install the latest version of Flash. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

Thanks. Now I get it--the problem is tied to flash on MY computer. What is the update problem that raincoaster is referring to? What flash update should I avoid or what older version should I revert to?

Btw timethief your comments have helped me a lot as I have developed my site this past year. I really appreciate it

Also, if Soundcloud will only play on computers with the appropriate version of Flash, then won't all those who don’t have the appropriate version also not be able to see the player? If so, then Soundcloud may not the best way to go because too many people will not be able to use it. Am I missing anything here?

  9. The problem seems to be with the latest Flash upgrade; I suppose you could go back to an earlier version, or wait for Flash to come up with a new version that doesn't have this problem.

Flash is ubiquitous, so I'm sure a lot of people will be reporting a problem and they will be fixing it ASAP.

Thanks raincoaster. At least I know that it is not designer error!
