i just changed the email address like 5 minutes ago, and when i tried to change again, the iexplorer which has web address with some password says the page cannot find server. Do i just have to wait or is this a serious one?

Where did you change your email address? Here in the forums or Dashboard -> Users -> Your Profile? How did you try to verify your email address? Need specifics here please.

I have tried several times to change the email address in Dashboard > Options on two blogs. I get the message saying a verification email will be sent but it never arrives.
Is there a backlog in the email server or something at the moment?

IMO you need to either to email support@wordpress.com or to deal with this through feedback.
