I can't find de plugin button on mij dashboad.

  1. Who can help me and explain what I have tot do, to get my plugin button under the apperance dropdown?
    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is dewandering.nl.

  2. Sorry, plugins are not allowed at wordpress.COM for security reasons. Plugins are for self-hosted blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

  3. Thank you for your quick reaction. Then I did something very wrong. I want to use the different plugins. What can I do to change this? Can I delete my site en do it all over again or ....? I paid 12 dollar because I thought I could download the different plugins.

  4. I don't know what you paid twelve dollars for, but instead of saying you want plugins, tell us what you want to do for your blog. Maybe we can tell you how to do it without plugins.

If you bought an upgrade thinking you'd get plugins, ask for a refund.

  5. To use plugins you will have to self-host a wordpress.ORG site at a third-party hosting service such as godaddy, bluehost, etc. Figure an average monthly cost, all things considered, of $10 to $25 depending on bandwidth and storage requirements.

  6. I have the same problem I'm using a .net site but I can't seem to find the plugin button below the appearance is the user button, some said that it's under the appearance but it isn't anyone knows why?

  7. @kdyz
Please always read carefully before posting into threads on the forum. Your .net site is being free hosted by WordPress.com. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot install plugins.

If you wish to have complete control over a blog, the ability to upload themes and plugins, and to edit themes and templates then your option is to hire a web host and get a free software install from WordPress.ORG and self host it.

I guess you did not read this when you purchased domain mapping:

    Important Notes Before Upgrading
Same Rules Apply – The Domain Mapping Upgrade does not enable the permission to use advertising, any kind of prohibited code, or upload additional themes or plugins. With the upgrade, your blog will still be hosted here at WordPress.com, which means that you will not have FTP access to your files and you will still be required to abide by our Terms of Service. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/#important-notes-before-upgrading
