I Can't find the add new theme menu.

  1. I'm trying to upload a new theme but I can;t find the add new theme menu under appearance.
Can someone tell me how to upload the theme. Your help will be very appreciated.

The blog I need help with is graphicsmadegreat.wordpress.com.

  2. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or themes into them Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

On free hosted WordPress.COM blogs we can only use the themes which have been coded to run on this multi-user software and made available to us here. > Appearance > Themes and no others. We cannot edit either themes or templates on free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/

If you wish to have complete control over a blog, the ability to upload themes and plugins, and to edit themes and templates then your option is to hire a web host and get a free software install from WordPress.ORG and self host it.

  3. To preview a new theme from among the over 150 you find here > Appearance > Themes simply click "preview" on the thumbnail image and when you find the one you like click "activate" and it will appear on your blog. When we change themes all widgets previously in use automatically migrate into the Inactive Widgets box and what we see is a default display that we override with our own choices. We go here > Appearance > Widgets and move the widgets out of the Inactive Widgets box into the positions we want them to display in., open them, configure them, click "save" and then click "close".
