I can't get my About page - the static front page with Site name, header to disp

  1. Missing pages. The front page - not sure what to call this but when you go to find the blog the page that carries the menus, site name and so forth is not there. How can I get this to display again?
    Blog url: http://annbraithwaite.wordpress.com/

  2. By default the front page of your blog is the running page for posts and displays your posts in reverse chronological order. It's not your About page. if you want to have your About page as the static front page of your site then you have to create two pages. One for the About page and one titled "blog" or whatever you choose to call it to display your posts on.

  3. If you created a custom menu or want to create one then see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/

  4. Troubleshooting – My menu isn’t appearing
Go to the custom menu page in the dashboard Appearance > Menus and in the “theme location” module at upper left select your custom menu from the pulldown and then click “save”.

Troubleshooting – My Pages aren’t appearing
They must be public pages – not private.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Blog Surfer, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.
