I don't exist on other WordPress pages?

  1. When I go to my own blog, I am logged into WordPress, but when I go to this blog: http://annwood.net/blog/ I am not. If I try to log in from that site, I'm told my password is incorrect. When I click "forgot my password" and try to enter my email or my username, I'm told I don't exist. This has happened to me before when I've found a WordPress blog by a means other than WordPress (i.e. flickr or google). I would like to add this blog to my blogroll, but how can I if I can't log in??

The blog I need help with is sovereignfugue.wordpress.com.

  2. That's not a WordPress.COM blog.

You can of course add any blog to your blogroll; you go to your Dashboard->Links->Add New. The admin bar shortcut only works for WordPress.COM hosted blogs.

This will familiarize you with the different types of WordPress:

  3. Your blog is not a wordpress.COM blog and this is the forum that's only for those who have free blogs being free hosted by wordpress.COM.

To get support for your blog you must post to http://wordpress.ORG/support because we run on different software and cannot help you here. See for more clarity > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  4. Thanks! So I guess I can't log into WordPress.Org, only WordPress.com and that's the reason for it all. But I've successfully put that blog in my blogroll, thanks for the good instructions on that, raincoaster.

  5. You will need to sign up over at wordpress.ORG. It is separate from wordpress.COM and requires a separate username and password.

  6. Each WordPress.ORG blog is totally separate both from WordPress.COM and all other WordPress.ORG blogs. If they all want you to register, you'll have to register at each one individually.
