I have likes on my WordPress blog, without any views showing in the upper-screen

  1. I have a blog on WordPress, with a couple of visitors visiting it once in a while. But most of the time, according to the view stats, nobody really reads it. I'm okay with that, but what bothers me is that I get countless of likes on some of my blog entries(most of the time, they're recent, but at other times, they are either a bit older or some of my other pages like "About").

Now, what is weird, is that eventhough I receive likes, I don't get any extra views. Does this mean that there is a bot/spammer or something liking my entries, or is the view counter just not precise?

The blog I need help with is thiprog.wordpress.com.

  2. Likes are not page views. In fact, likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can "like" and "share" your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat.
