I moved from wp.com to wp.org - Please help moving my followers and stats

  1. Hi,

I moved from meste.wordpress.com to meste.ro, which is now up and working well.

Could someone help me moving my stats and followers to the new site? I read somewhere that I have to have Jetpack activated, which I did.

    Many thanks,
    Serban

The blog I need help with is meste.ro.

  2. Hi there,
Staff can do this for you. I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  3. Many thanks, I am hooked so will get notified as soon as they write here.

  4. Hi Timethief,

Do you now roughly when staff could help me with this?

    thanks

  5. No I don't have a timeline. I know only that there are many pages of threads tagged for Staff help and they deal with them in order of date stamps and timestamps.

  6. I'm seeing jetpack being connected to meste.ro/wp/ and not meste.ro. Which is correct?

  7. The correct one should be meste.ro but I do not know how to reconnect it to the good one. Maybe you can do it, if not could you tell me please?

    Thanks

  8. I believe I managed to connect now jetpack to meste.ro - let me know. If I managed than you can move the stats and followers

    Thx

  9. You've got it set correctly now. Thanks.

I have migrated your subscribers and followers to your new site.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

  10. In the previous location the subscriber count number was including the Facebook followers as well, here only the blog ones (93 now). Do you think how can I include the Facebook ones as well?

    many thanks,
    Serban

  11. Dear rootjosh,

besides my previous message, I discovered that after your change, my posts are not automatically publicised to FB, linkedin etc. I went to setings/sharing and delinked my accounts, then relinked, than went to Jetpack and disconnected and reconnected but the same.

When I write a post, I can see what services I can publish to but the buttons are not ticked and I have no control over them. So there is something wrong somewhere but cannot say.

    Could you please help?

    Thx

  12. Well, strangely, this happens only with old posts, the new posts show the correct publicise options, so not sure what is it

  13. Jetpack's Publicize only works with new posts. It will be disabled on older posts, but as long as you are connected, you will see publicize options when writing new posts. Hoping that helps!

  14. yep, you are right, I see it now. What about my previous question:

In the previous location the subscriber count number was including the Facebook followers as well, here only the blog ones (93 now). Do you think how can I include the Facebook ones as well?

  15. Actually, followers from other social networks aren't included in Jetpack's follower count, but you will still have the same reach as long as those networks are connected.

  16. I see, still strange as before they were shown

  17. Right, social network followers are included in the follower count at WordPress.com but not via Jetpack at WordPress.org. It's just a difference between the two platforms. But you can still reach your followers through Publicize.

  18. Hi rootjosh,

I cannot find a way to view my list of followers and it seems something is going wrong as I subscribed myself as one of the followers but did not get any notifications lately.

Could you tell me how to view the list?

    thanks,
    Serban

  19. You can see a list of your subscribers at http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=65376722&blog_subscribers

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
