I need help seting up links and widgets I think

  1. I need help setting up links from my blog to my core web page and squeeze pages. I spent 6 hours yesterday trying to do this and was unable to accomplish this simple task. I know I am missing probably the obviouse simple step but I am a show me kinda guy. The help stuff on wordpress was no help to me.

The blog I need help with is socalinvestor.wordpress.com.

  2. Specifically, how were you trying to do this? What is the URL of your "core web page" and "squeeze pages?"

  3. Please expand on exactly what it is that you are trying to achieve?
    1. Are you atempting to use a free hosted wordpress.com blog as a legitimate blog?

    2. Or are your attempting to use it to do nothing but pimp it to drive traffic to pages on an external site?

  4. You can create a custom menu and you can inslude custom links in a custom menu. If that's what you want to do then I suggest that you chose another theme that has a horizontal navigation bar.

  5. I have a core website with four squeeze pages that go with it. I created a wordpress blog and was trying to put links on the left hand side with the rest of the links that when yu clicked on it, it would take you to my core page or anyone of my squeeze pages. I figured I would have to have a link for each. My core page is pandrrealestatesolutions.com. Squeeze pages are pandrsolutionsforsellers.com, pandrsolutionsforbuyers.com, and pandrsolutinsforprivatelenders.com. I misspelled solutions in the last squeeze page

  6. What is the URL of the WordPress.com blog you're using, starting with http?

Also, before you get too far along, are you using the blog for anything BUT directing people to those pages? Because if not, that's likely to get your blog suspended.

  7. http://www.socalinvestor.wordpress.com
I don't know what yu mean by your last comment but if you are asking if I am going to be post anything up on my blog regarding real estate, the answer is yes. It will be quite informative with pictures and how to videos

  8. It's just that blogs set up here specifically for the purpose of diverting people to off-WP.com sites are against the terms of service. As long as you're actively blogging on your subject, that shouldn't be an issue.

Now, as to your issue, you just need to use the Links widget, otherwise known as the Blogroll. Unintuitively, it's not on your widget page that you add links to it. You go to Dashboard->Links and add the links to it (each has to start with http, remember; easiest to copy paste right from the browser bar). Then on the Widgets page, drag the links widget into the sidebar.
