I need paragraph breaks in my posts

  1. Hello,

I have been working under the Oxygen theme for a few months without issue. However, my last post will not display paragraph breaks. How can I solve this problem?

I do not have a great deal of knowledge working with raw HTML.

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is wolffy83.wordpress.com.

  2. I see paragraph breaks in the last post. Make sure you are using Paragraph format on the Write Post page.

I've got the same problem. I don't see either a "Write Post" page (I'm trying to edit a new post that simply won't honor the paragraph breaks I insert in the draft, after many attempts. I don't see any "paragraph format" option anywhere, either. Help!

  4. On the Advanced toolbar, on the left-hand side. If you only have one row of buttons in the visual editor, click the one on the far right, with the multicoloured buttons.

If you are copy/pasting from a word processor, that's your problem right there. You're introducing HTML errors into the blog. To fix them and prevent more from being added, go to Settings->Writing and select "Wordpress should correct invalidly nested XHTML" and save. Then Edit that post, changing anything at all, and Update. That forces the change to take effect.

Thanks. I'm not sure what's changed, but this had never been a problem until a few weeks ago. I've always pasted from Word text.

  6. HTML errors are cumulative in nature. It goes along like nothing is wrong and then one day WHAMMO! If you change that setting now, you'll never know what you saved yourself from.
