i want a set up mode,so i can work without showing everyone half done web site.

  1. i want to keep site off while setting up.Also this is a big one my plug ins go crazy like to keep plugs off untill iam ready for them.you got a set up mode?

The blog I need help with is kenhosey.wordpress.com.

  2. There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

See here for a full comparison WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
    http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins and or any third party themes.
If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.

  3. Hi there,
